Ayurveda is the ancient holistic medicine system from India, based on achieving physical and mental harmony with nature, which has been practised for more than 5000 years.
Ayurveda means the science of life, acknowledged by many scholars as the mother of medicine. It is prevention oriented, free from harmful side effects and looks to find and treat the root cause rather than the symptoms.

The foundations of both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element Acupuncture were laid down in writing over 2000 years ago according to two major texts – The Nei Jing and The Nan Jing written during the Han dynasty. Acupuncture is focused on achieving physical, mental and emotional harmony with nature, looking to find and treat the root cause rather than the symptoms, treating imbalance by selecting and stimulating points along the meridian channels in the body. Treatment is holistic and may also include guidance on diet, moxibustion, cupping and acupressure.
